Heritage Open Day 2018

Claremont Fan Court School supports Heritage Open Day 2018
On Saturday 8 September Claremont Fan Court School opened the mansion and parkland to the public as part of Heritage Open Day.
Over one hundred visitors pre-booked on guided tours and many more came along on the day to learn about Claremont House and its fascinating royal history.

Visitors were given free access to the neighbouring National Trust Claremont Landscape garden, reuniting the full Claremont site and the Belvedere tower was opened in the afternoon for anyone keen enough to climb the steps to the top.

Once again it was wonderful to welcome our own alumni back to the School for a catch up over tea and cake in the great room and share their school with younger family members.

Some of the feedback we have received;
“thank you and all the staff at Claremont Fan Court School for the opening of the mansion on Heritage Open Day.
I was fortunate enough to secure a place for my mother and I on one of the tours and it was incredibly informative.  I have learnt so much, not only the history of Claremont but the surrounding area.  Fascinating!”

“I’m not sure we ever really know how lucky we were to attend a school in such a special building.”
