Come and join us for a Claremont community meet-up on Friday 4 December at 1.00pm!
To coincide with our Sixth Form trip to Victoria's Countryside Christmas, we are hosting a community gathering at Colicci Cafe on Palace Avenue, known as the Palace Gate Kiosk (W8 4RE), located on the southern side of Kensington Gardens. Colicci Cafés is a collection of artisan cafés, kiosks and restaurants across London. They are proudly owned and operated by a Claremont alumni family, making it the perfect venue for our community to come together.
When: 1:00pm – 2:00pm (Outside the cafe)
Who: Open to all members of the Claremont community. Claremont staff members look forward to seeing you there!
RSVP: Let us know that you are likely to be joining us via alumni@claremont.surrey.sch.uk or clicking the RSVP button below.
Palace admission is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm, giving you plenty of flexibility to explore the display either before or after our meet-up. Last entry into the Palace is 3.00pm. High Street Kensington is closest tube station (W8 6SU).
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the Claremont community and celebrate our special feature in a London festive display this Christmas. We look forward to seeing you!
This Christmas, Kensington Palace will celebrate Claremont's remarkable royal heritage as part of its special display, Victoria's Countryside Christmas, running from 25 November 2026 to 3 January 2027.
The display marks the 190th anniversary of Princess Victoria's Christmas visit to Claremont in 1836 and will see her childhood rooms at Kensington Palace transformed to recreate the festive atmosphere she experienced during her stay at Claremont with her uncle, Prince Leopold, later the first King of the Belgians.
Earlier this year, representatives from Historic Royal Palaces visited Claremont to learn more about our unique royal history. As we all know, the historic mansion remains at the heart of school life here at Claremont. This national recognition provides a wonderful opportunity to share Claremont's story with a wider audience and celebrate the extraordinary history that makes our school such a special place.
For those interested in visiting the display at Kensington Palace (W8 4PX), tickets can be purchased and further information can be found on the Historic Royal Palaces website here.
